The Least of These Ministries

Do you want to serve God, but not sure what to do? Or, do you want to reach out to those in our community, but not quite sure how to do it? The Least of These Ministries is a new moving ministry of the church, who want to serve God's people within the church by helping them with moving - something that can be very stressful if you don't have the resources to do it. We also want to reach out to our community and make connections with those who may be searching for hope and direct them to the church. This may sometimes include helping with cleaning and packing, if assistance is needed. We are looking for anyone, both men and women, who may be interested in serving in this Ministry. You do not have to be available every time we move someone.

Senior Adult Connection Time

In the past, the name KEENAGERS meant the senior adults had an opportunity to get together, share a covered dish, have entertainment and scriptural encouragement. It was a good program which many enjoyed. The Senior Adult Connection is very similar.

Our purpose for the Senior Adult Connection time is to get people connected. Our purpose statement is: "Purposeful Connections equals creating opportunities and space for relationships of seniors to happen or begin". It is also a time when you can invite friends or neighbors for fun, fellowship, as well as an opportunity to hear a brief message from the Scriptures.

Our next Senior Connection Event will be a picnic on Saturday, June 22nd at the Beulah United Methodist Church Grove Pavilion at 433 Bicycle Road, Friedens. This will be held rain or shine. The cost will be $5.00 each which will cover the rental of the pavilion as well as hamburgers, hot dogs and buns. Paper products, plastic ware and condiments as well as ice water and iced tea will be provided. Plan to bring what food you would like to share as well as your own serving utensils. The meal will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. The event will conclude at approximately 3:00 pm.

Entertainment: Plan to bring a wooden spoon, a pot or pan or a lid to make up a "kitchen band." There will also be pantomime presentations of Biblical passages and a "special presentation" by Sarah Wright. Sign up at the Connection Center. Please check if you will help with the pantomime and also what meat you will prefer.

Operation Christmas Child

The goal for Christmas 2019 is to pack 500 shoeboxes! They are going to collect items throughout the year. Each month will be something different. In October there will be a church wide packing party! It will be in the bulletin what items they are collecting and totes will be available for you to place your items in. If you prefer, you may still pack boxes on your own. Let's help spread the love of Jesus Christ to as many children and families around the world as we can.
